Symbol of Protection

The Hamsa Hands art kit is especially popular among our Hospital Arts projects. The ancient Hamsa symbol of an open palm has been a sign of protection and good fortune for thousands of years across many nations and traditions.

 

Gifts of Art took first place in the National Organization for Arts in Health (NOAH) international awards in 2021. The award was given in the Arts Building Resilience category for the Hamsa Hands project. The video below describes it in more detail.
